Ashley is an 11th grader in high school but more importantly a cancer survivor. She enjoys her current work experience at PETCO because it allows her to help people and animals. Her dream job is to be a teacher. Ashely’s mother, Maria was able to find employment through CaPROMISE. Like her daughter, she is passionate about helping people and hopes to become a nurse. She is currently working on completing her high school diploma and has enrolled in a Medical Assistance program. Ashley and Maria were interviewed by their Career Service Coordinator (CSC) Shanice Reed. Alex Moreno was their former CSC.

Davier Ladmirault

Since joining CaPROMISE, Davier has become motivated to accomplish his dreams and goals which include pursuing a business degree in college after high school. He has held three work experiences (two paid) and most recently was a master of ceremonies at a Macy’s sponsored back to school fashion show event for CaPROMISE participants. During the event he kept the crowd entertained and also showed his leadership and public speaking abilities. Davier and his mother were interviewed by their Career Service Coordinator (CSC) Shanice Reed.

CaPROMISE Managers Institute

CaPROMISE Managers Institute will be held in San Diego on Sept. 14-15, 2016. 

The Institute is designed specifically for CaPROMISE Service Area Managers.

Location:
Holiday Inn, San Diego - Bayside
4875 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92106

  • Day : Joint training with the Family Resource Centers (FRC) focused on recent legislation that could benefit CaPROMISE youth and families.
  • Day 2: For managers only. Will also include the Regional Managers and Regional Mentors.

 

FRC Institute

Each FRC may send two CaPROMISE FRC staff.
Hotel, registration and travel reservation procedures will be forthcoming.
Plan to come in September 12th if you can.

Costs for travel will be covered by the EFRC / CaPROMISE grant

Madison Family

Dezier Carter
